Throughout the years, Shadowbox Theatre and See-More's Workshop have received numerous awards and honors in recognition of the work and positive impact they have had on the community and especially the children. Listed below are just some of these awards and honors. Awards- June, 2000 "Woman of Distinction" Award, YWCA of Brooklyn Awards- 1990's Commendation from the Mayor of the City of New York American Library Association, Children's Notable Recording Certificate of Appreciation, Woodhull Medical Center Community Development Award, Manufacturer's Hanover Awards- 1980's Governor's Citation: Excellence in Health Education Mayor's Proclamation, Black History Month Certificate of Appreciation, New York City Board of Education Award of Merit, Public Health Association of New York City Shadow Box Theatre Day (April 30, 1989)
